About Gina Marie’s Chianti

DSC_0106-2Many of us can remember Sunday afternoons walking into grandma’s house.  The aromas not only would soon fill your stomach, but your heart as well.  There is something comforting about knowing the food you are about to dine on was made with love.  When you walk into Chianti’s cozy restaurant, one cannot help but sense the familiar Sunday dinners at grandmas.  Authentic Italian cuisine is what Paul Caputo, chef and owner, presents to his patrons.  Having learned from old-time chefs, Paul has decided to add his own touch by using a variety of fresh herbs, fruits, and spices.  Formerly Gina Marie’s on Gramatan Ave., Chianti prides itself on customer satisfaction.

A devoted family man, Paul Caputo is also a dedicated chef.  Caputo’s cooking style encompasses traditional Italian delicacies, as well as, enhancing many recipes with his own style. It has been lasting goals of his to not only own a restaurant, but one he would be proud to call his own.  Naming the restaurant after his high school sweetheart and partner for over 35 years, Gina Marie has been the great woman behind this great man.  Gina has said, “This was his dream-but we made it happen together.”  Opening up their first restaurant in 1994, the pair worked as a team, open to close for 7 years.  Life was exciting and fulfilling, but it wasn’t until the arrival of their son Dean Vincent, that life became complete.

A proud new father, Caputo’s drive as a chef only flourished as he began to build a legacy for his son.  Caputo was honored in 2009 for Best Sauce of Westchester, conquering against many fierce competitors.  Many of Caputo’s dishes are made from scratch and he takes pride in making every order to the customers’ expectations.  Many of Chianti’s staff has been employed since Paul and Gina’s first restaurant back in the 90s.  At Chianti, customers are not just that, but a part of our family.  A family the Caputo’s graciously invite you to be a part of.

At Chianti we offer various lunch and dinner specials, in addition to, on and off catering and hosting private parties. Summer through fall months, we have a large decorated tent located behind the restaurant which hosts barbecues, cigar dinners, live music and even pig roasts.  Open 6 days a week, Chianti offers many signature dishes that cannot be found elsewhere, such as: a stuffed veal chop valdastano, garlic bread all casa, stuffed artichoke appetizer, linguini Gina Marie, and 16oz burgers (offered with special bar menu).  Customers can also look forward to new specials created by Caputo daily.

Paul and Gina invite all to come to Chianti and enjoy the experience first-hand.  At Chianti we promise a unique, warm, and inviting environment for all ages.  You are more than just a patron here- at Chianti’s you are one of us. Like our motto says, “Chi mangia bene, viva bene.” –“If you eat well, you live well”.
